Day 24:Ordinary Joy

Dahlia Flower By Coralie

Baby Grace has taught me the joy of paying attention to ordinary things.  She will spot the smallest flower in a board book story and get so excited about it. Sometimes, if I’m reading the story too fast, she’ll make me go back and really look at the flower.

What a beautiful reminder to stop rushing and simply immerse myself in the moment.

ASSIGNMENT:

Choose an ordinary task (watering your flowers, washing the dishes, changing your baby…) and really take your time to engage in what you are doing. Notice if the extra involvement brings and extra joy to the moment.
